Dr. Ramya Ravindran

Dr. Ramya Ravindran is a dedicated Cornea and Anterior Segment Consultant with over 13 years of experience in ophthalmology, including more than 8 years of specialized experience in corneal care and surgery.

She completed her Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya in 2017, where she received advanced training in the management of complex corneal and refractive conditions. She has also undergone specialized training in DMEK (Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty) under Prof. Gerrit Melles, one of the pioneers of modern endothelial keratoplasty.

Dr. Ramya has received the prestigious AAO International Educator Award in 2020, recognizing her contribution to ophthalmic education and teaching.

Her areas of expertise include lamellar keratoplasty, DMEK and other corneal transplantation procedures, refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and anterior segment reconstruction. She has a special interest in advanced corneal procedures and in providing individualized surgical solutions for patients with complex corneal and anterior segment disorders.

With a combination of extensive clinical experience, specialized surgical training, and a strong commitment to continuous learning and education, Dr. Ramya strives to provide evidence-based, precise and compassionate eye care, with a focus on achieving the best possible visual outcomes for every patient.
